America’s ritzy, sophisticated songster and most entertaining entertainer invites you to partake in his interactive live “life retrospective.” FRANK will grab you by your shoulders and make you feel nostalgia for a star you never knew! This riveting glimpse into a very special “leading man” is brought to you by Australian comic Emily June Newton and director Deanna Fleysher (aka Butt Kapinski). Together, they are drawn to the ridiculous and the heartfelt, the intimate and the outrageous. Expect audience inclusion and comedy art at its finest.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Emily June Newton is an Australian theatre maker and comedian specializing in the areas of cabaret and character creation. She writes, performs and produces her own comedic solo work that has been performed nationally and internationally. Newton has also worked for acclaimed theatre companies such as The 2nd Echo Ensemble (AUST), Terrapin Puppet Theatre (AUST), Oregon Children’s Theatre (USA)  and The Dell’Arte Company (USA). In 2014 Emily completed her MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theater at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California, USA. Emily now resides in Portland, Oregon and is currently creating a new work under the direction of Deanna Fleysher (aka Butt Kapinski).

Deanna Fleysher is a comedy artist, teacher and director devoted to audience inclusion. She created Foreplay, an erotic improv comedy show that ran for a year at the People’s Improv Theater in NY and was featured at the Chicago Improv Festival. She created, produced and starred in Kill Me Loudly: A Clown Noir and The Kapinski Private Eye Academy at the NY Clown Theatre Festival. She created the Naked Comedy Lab, a workshop for training in interactive/immersive comedy and clown/bouffon. She is the director and co-writer of Red Bastard, the internationally acclaimed bouffon show. Currently, she tours her award-winning solo show BUTT KAPINSKI and teaches Naked Comedy labs in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. and around the world
